"Each time I feel challenged to bring supply and demand together"
Most new TRIMM employees meet their new colleagues on a Monday morning. Jeroen Wijnholds didn't, because he met over 100 people during the Christmas dinner.
How did that feel, your first meeting?
"That was quite intense. At that time, I knew only two people at TRIMM and they were both not yet when I entered a filled canteen where the reception just started. It was immediately enjoyable, everyone was interested. But I didn't remember a single name. Luckily I was able to make another attempt on the first day of the new year. On my first working day, together with Marc, I made a tour through the building to get acquainted and wish you a happy new year."
What is your function?
"At TRIMM I'm a digital business designer, together with the customer I sit around the table to develop concepts that help them further in their business operations. Then I start working with a team to translate these concepts into a digital solution. So I have a lot to do with both customers and our internal organisation.
Creating concepts fits seamlessly with my background as an Industrial Designer, but the products are now virtual, which of course offers many more possibilities and gives more room for creativity."
What do you like about your job?
"The open environment with nice people and the projects for interesting clients. Every time I am involved, it is a challenge to bring supply and demand together. Really understanding what the customer has in mind, the question behind the question. The next step is to work with the team to develop a concept that answers that question correctly and that really helps the customer. I like that the most: I belong to every team a bit, that's how a company with 120 people feels small."
Can you give an example?
"I liked the pitch for Broshuis, they're already developed online and it's cool that we're going to take the next step with them. The personal click you have makes it extra fun."
When do you leave the office with a good feeling?
"When I notice that customers get enthusiastic about my ideas. Reaching something beautiful together with a customer. When the team starts working with the ideas and makes something really cool, it really gives a kick!"
What is your best memory of your time at TRIMM so far?
"The first big plans I made together with a customer and then discovered how quickly we at TRIMM were able to realize this. In addition, a lot happens outside work, the 90's party is a good example of this. I hadn't worked at TRIMM for very long when I went to the party. You get to know your colleagues in a different way. And they got to know me in a different way. Luckily I did not immediately mess it up for myself in the festivities."
What distinguishes TRIMM from other employers?
"Many people at TRIMM are young and have the same interests. Therefore, there's a nice atmosphere. I just mentioned the interesting and challenging customers. And there are a lot of activities for the staff. That is why I've become a part of Connect now, our staff association, the team that organizes the Christmas dinner, Easter breakfast, 90's party and many other festivities."
